Modification to section "Name"
[edit]I would like to add Mazda official website link for “Mazda” comes from Ahura Mazda, the god of harmony, intelligence and wisdom from the earliest civilization in West Asia. Please see the link for details. CuriousPerson18375 (talk) 23:14, 8 September 2017 (UTC)
Ahura Mazda
[edit]I'd say the old Persian expression: 'Ahura Mazda' is cognate to an Arabic name for Venus: 'Az-zahra', 'brightness', 'Mazda' being a not very good transliteration of something cognate to the Latin: 'Magna', and the English: 'Big', this way: 'Ahura Mazda' meaning: 'Light great', 'The great light'. 'Si non e vero, e ben trovato'. Regards, + Salut--Caula (talk) 00:00, 23 December 2017 (UTC)

The SkyActiv engines were first used in the 2012 Mazda3 not 2015 as stated. Ejrunner22 (talk) 19:01, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
- Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. That said, I don't see anywhere in this article where it says that SkyActiv was first used in 2015. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 20:06, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
Past Emblems
[edit]Under the past emblems section, when referencing how one of the emblems symbolizes the rotary engine, there is a link to the piston rotary engine, not the Wankel engine. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2604:6000:1011:417A:85DB:B294:E894:1E25 (talk) 13:00, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

Since April 2018 the sponsorship of the racetrack at Laguna Seca has been owned by WeatherTech.

Reference Update for Explorer Co-Development
[edit]Since this seems to be a protected page, a reference supporting the co-development of the Explorer is this autoweek article:

Expansion of and References for Bio-car Section

Two details stand out as woefully undetailed and unsubstantiated:
1. The claim that Mazda have found an "alternative [use] for...milk". No further info is given, and no relevant source is cited.
2. The claim that "Poti (gobar of cows)" is used as a component of the Mazda 5 is similarly underdeveloped, and the source cited ("Bioplastic, Research, Environmentally | Fabric and consoles in Mazda". bioplastics24.com. May 1, 2006.) makes no mention of Poti, potentially as a consequence of being a substitute source.
The poor state of these details, along with their absurdist nature, lead me to believe the claims may be a result of vandalism. Work is needed to either substantiate the claims, or to remove them entirely. Carno237 (talk) 14:27, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
- Done - it does appear to be vandalism, and it's lasted quite a long time as well, so thanks for catching it. The changes were made in this edit and this edit, both more than ten years ago; I have reverted the changes. Tollens (talk) 03:35, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
